See the map above for the planned high level route. Point is to stay close to land as much as possible as it is more interesting to see than open water and since I have only a single engine, it will provide some additional security incase of major problems. Of course the details of each segment (separated in 3 colors) will be done a few months before the start of each leg.
We are starting from Barcelona and moving through the Irish Sea to Stornoway, the capital of Lewis and Harris in Scotland and the last major marina before heading out to the Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Nova Scotia, and down the east coast of the US to the state of Georgia which is the last state to winter a boat without “winterizing a boat” and to avoid high cost of hurricane insurance if further south. Anna will stay there until the next leg which will be planned to start around Dec/Jan 2025/2026.
