I am very happy to have Capt. Brian Moore joining me on this summer’s voyage to Istanbul. Brian accompanied me on last year’s voyage from Cascais, Portugal to Barcelona and we got along great – just ask him!
Brian Moore was an Army helicopter mechanic and AeroScout prior to joining the USCG where he served 20 years conducting commercial vessel compliance missions mainly focused on offshore oil & gas exploration, production and transportation. Since retiring he earned his USCG Masters license and has sailed extensively worldwide amassing more than 30,000 nm sailing over the last 3 years. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and Master’s degrees from The John’s Hopkins University and the National Graduate School in Massachusetts.
