We departed Gilleleje Marina at 7:15 am under cool early morning skies, with a light overcast and good visibility. The wind was gentle from the southwest at 8–12 knots, providing smooth cruising conditions for the morning leg. The sea state was calm, with only small swells and minimal chop, allowing a steady and comfortable passage across the northern Øresund toward Helsingborg, Sweden.

By 9:45 am, we reached Helsingborg Port to drop off Ronny. The approach was straightforward, with little traffic in the small harbor and calm waters making docking quick and efficient. After saying farewell to Ronny, we continued southward toward Copenhagen, our final destination for the season.
The second leg toward Copenhagen remained pleasantly calm, with light winds and gentle seas, ideal for a relaxed cruising. By 12:45 pm, we arrived at Tuborg Havn Marina, Copenhagen, ready to secure Anna for the winter. The marina offered a calm basin, well-marked berths, and modern facilities, providing a safe and convenient mooring for the yacht as the Scandinavian cruising season came to a close.
Tuborg Havn Marina (📍55.7019° N, 12.5663° E) is a modern and well-equipped harbor located just north of central Copenhagen, along the picturesque waterfront of the Øresund. The marina offers calm, sheltered waters, clearly marked berths, floating pontoons, and easy access to water and electricity connections. Facilities include showers, toilets, Wi-Fi, and nearby supply shops, making it an ideal spot to prepare the yacht for the winter season. The approach is straightforward, with good navigational aids and minimal traffic outside peak hours, allowing for easy docking and mooring.
Copenhagen, the Danish capital, needs little introduction. The city is a vibrant mix of historic charm and contemporary culture. From the cobbled streets and colorful townhouses of Nyhavn to the modern architecture along the waterfront, Copenhagen combines history, innovation, and Scandinavian lifestyle. Bicycles outnumber cars, giving the city a lively but relaxed feel, and its cafés, restaurants, and canals provide ample opportunities to soak in the local atmosphere. Landmarks like The Little Mermaid, Rosenborg Castle, and Tivoli Gardens punctuate the cityscape, while the harbor itself is bustling with maritime activity, reflecting Copenhagen’s long seafaring tradition.
Martin and Ivy spent a few more days immersing themselves in the charms of Copenhagen, enjoying the city’s vibrant lifestyle, colorful streets, and diverse cuisine, before wrapping up their visit and heading back to Singapore.
The voyage concludes, but its memories are timeless …

Anna’s voyage from ends for the season after 130 days on board and 82 unforgettable days of cruising. “Incredilby special, stuningly beautiful, sometimes adveturous, always exciting, highly stimulating”. It is hard to sum up all the wonderful moments that captain and crew were priviledged to experience during this journey. From June 3 to September 24, with a 20-day break in between, we cruised 3,946 miles from Barcelona to Copenhagen, Anna’s final destination for the season, crossing through 11 countries along the way.
Our adventure began in Barcelona, Spain, a city of Gaudí’s whimsical architecture and vibrant Mediterranean life. We then cruised south to Gibraltar, a unique British territory dominated by the iconic Rock, before exploring Portugal’s scenic coastline and rich cultural heritage, and returning to Galicia, Spain, with its lush landscapes and rugged shores.
Heading north, we visited the Netherlands, a land of canals and tulips, followed by Germany, where history and bustling cities awaited. Gotland, Sweden, welcomed us with medieval towns and tranquil landscapes, and then we explored the Baltic treasures: Latvia, with its Art Nouveau Riga, and Tallinn, Estonia, known for its charming old towns and digital innovation.
Crossing to Finland, we embraced its lakes, forests, and sauna traditions, before returning to Lake Mälaren, Sweden, and exploring the Stockholm and Gryt Archipelagos, idyllic clusters of serene islands. Our journey concluded in Denmark, a land of design, cycling, and fairy-tale charm, marking the end of a remarkable northern European loop.
What makes this journey even more special is how kind the sea and weather were to us. We were blessed with safe passages, favorable winds, calm anchorages and beautiful marinas, breathtaking sunsets, and so many peaceful days at sea. Every crossing brought new memories, new friendships, and endless moments of joy, laughter, and adventure onboard.
Anna carried us faithfully through every mile, being not just a boat, but our floating home, a place filled with joy, freedom, discovery, and unforgettable experiences. We are deeply thankful for the safety of our crew, the beauty of the oceans, and the privilege of exploring so many incredible places together.
As we wrap up this remarkable season in Copenhagen, our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone who was part of the journey, both onboard and from afar. What a season it has been, one we will cherish forever. Until the next adventure, thank you, Anna. ⚓️✨
