Oia, Santorini
The short voyage to Santorini was nice as the weather was pretty calm. When we rounded the top of the island (shaped like a backwards letter “C”) the famous white buildings and blue onion topped churches appeared. Really quite amazing to see from the water! And it is very high up. We circled the inner waters covering the old volcano and finally settled in an area called Red Rock beach because the beach was covered in red rocks. Go figure.
Unfortunately Brian fell ill the three days we were there so it was pretty quiet. I did some swimming and chores around the boat and took the tender out to explore a bit. But it was nice to not have anything to do in order to catch up on our sleep and health!
